COMS

Modelling for quality, modelling for fun!

The Central Otago Model Society (COMS) embraces two distinct modelling disciplines and benefits from the merger of them both.

  • We create and operate model railway layouts; and
  • We research, design and build plastic models from kits.

In the process of our model-making members develop and share skills to help improve the quality of our modelling. Most importantly, we enjoy what we do and we have fun doing it!

Our Organisation

The COMS is a registered not-for-profit charitable organisation run by committe and all its full financial members are committee members. We elect a president, treasurer, secretary and newsletter editor annually. Our registered name is the IPMS Central Otago Model Society Incorporated.

Our members take turns to coordinate our display arrangements at the various events we attend.
